Getting to Know your Pests…

We often see them walking inside our homes wondering how they are able to get in and what is the reason they visit our homes. There are actually variety of pests that visit our respective houses. Usually, they get in to look for food and for shelter. There are many a business in your area that can fix the problems caused by all these annoying pests.

Rodents

Well-known rodents include mice, rats, squirrels, guinea pigs, hamsters and etc.  They use their sharp incisors to gnaw food, excavate burrows, and defend themselves. They destroy different materials including wood, wallboards, clothing, electrical wiring etc. They can also be a threat to health, as they are known to transmit various diseases and can contaminate food.

Ants

Because of their small frame physical structure, it makes them efficient in searching for food that become problematic in every setting. They grow in large number in just a short span of time and their small physical structure allows them to enter through tiniest cracks which makes it difficult to control and prevent.

Cockroaches

Cockroaches are common and hardy insects, and can tolerate a wide range of environments. They have appeared in human culture ever since and are popularly depicted as dirty pests, though the great majority of species are inoffensive and live in a wide range of habitats around the world. They are often found in places with food and water. They are also considered as one of the threats to our health because they are capable of spreading more than 20 kinds of bacteria.

Flies

Flies have a mobile head, with a pair of large compound eyes, and mouthparts designed for piercing and sucking. Their wing arrangement gives them great ability in flight, and claws and pads on their feet enable them to cling to smooth surfaces. They are also considered as one of the disease transmission. Sanitation and exclusion should be a primary focus when resolving a fly infestation.

Termites

Termites can cause serious damage to buildings, crops, or plantation forests. They are also considered as a major agricultural pests where crop losses can be severe. They can also damage wood foundations in our homes.

Bed bugs

Bed bugs are insects that feed exclusively on blood. A number of adverse health effects may result from bed bug bites, including skin rashes, psychological effects, and allergic symptoms.

Centipedes

Centipedes have a rounded or flattened head, bearing a pair of antennae at the forward margin.  Accordingly, they are found in soil and leaf litter, under stones and dead wood, and inside logs.
